Enquiries and quote requests

GURU Protect is operated by Nick Butcher. When you submit a form, we receive your name, email address, company, message and, for a quote request, the service selections and estimate. We use these details to respond, prepare a proposal and administer any service you book. We do not add enquiry contacts to a marketing list.

We process an enquiry to take steps towards a contract at your request, or under our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries where you act for an organisation. Our hosting and email providers process the details to deliver and store the enquiry.

Tools and message headers

The Received journey, header analyser and Microsoft 365 header reader process pasted content locally in your browser. These tools do not upload or persist it. Downloaded reports remain on your device. DNS tools send the names you enter to our server and its DNS resolver. The MTA-STS checker also contacts the named public policy server.

Storage and security

Enquiries are delivered to our business mailbox. We retain them while dealing with your request and, if you become a client, alongside the relevant service records. You can ask us to delete an enquiry we no longer need. Contract and accounting records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations.

The enquiry forms use a session cookie for security. Short-lived rate-limit records use a hash of the connecting IP address. Hosting logs may include IP addresses, request paths and timestamps. Do not submit passwords, confidential message contents or incident evidence through the enquiry forms.

Your choices

Contact hello@guruprotect.com to ask about your information or exercise your data-protection rights, including access, correction, deletion or objection where applicable. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Browser preferences

Your theme preference is saved in local storage on your device. We do not include advertising or analytics trackers in these sites.
